Psalms 13

1How long, Yahweh, will you keep forgetting about me? 1 How long will you hide your face from me? 1

2How long must I worry 1 and have grief in my heart all day? 1 How long will my enemy triumph over me? 1

3Look at me and answer me, Yahweh my God! 1 Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death. 1

4Do not let my enemy say, “I have defeated him,” 1 so that my enemy may not say, “I have prevailed over my adversary”; otherwise, my enemies will rejoice when I am brought down. 1

5But I have trusted in your covenant faithfulness; 1 my heart rejoices in your salvation. 1

6I will sing to Yahweh 1 because he has treated me very generously.
