Psalms 91
He who lives in the shelter of the Most High 1 will stay in the shadow of the Almighty. 1
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress, 1 my God, in whom I trust.” 1
For he will rescue you from the snare of the hunter 1 and from the deadly plague. 1
He will cover you with his wings, 1 and under his wings you will find refuge. 1 His trustworthiness is a shield and protection. 1
You will not be afraid of terror in the night, 1 or of the arrow that flies by day, 1
or of the plague that roams around in the darkness, 1 or of the disease that comes at noontime. 1
A thousand may fall at your side 1 and ten thousand at your right hand, 1 but it will not reach you. 1
You will only observe 1 and see the punishment of the wicked. 1
For Yahweh is my refuge! 1 Make the Most High your refuge also. 1
No evil will overtake you; 1 no affliction will come near your home. 1
For he will direct his angels to protect you, 1 to guard you in all your ways. 1
They will lift you up with their hand 1 so that you will not hit your foot on a stone. 1
You will crush lions and adders under your feet; 1 you will trample on young lions and serpents. 1
Because he is devoted to me, I will rescue him. 1 I will protect him because he is loyal to me. 1
When he calls to me, I will answer him. 1 I will be with him in trouble; 1 I will give him victory and will honor him. 1
I will satisfy him with long life 1 and show him my salvation.
